How To Let Go Of Your Phone Addiction

Do you find yourself scrolling through Instagram as soon as you wake up? You do, don't you? That was me and most people in our current society since our lives now revolve around technology and social media.
I will provide you with helpful solutions to curb these habits that feed your phone or technology addiction.

Turn Off Push Notifications

This is one of the most frequent tips on posts like this and probably one of the most effective at keeping you away from your phone. The act of turning off push notifications allows you to live your life without being constantly dragged to your device to check them and losing time engaging in them.

Stop Phone Checking Habits

The big majority of us nowadays find themselves looking at our phones at specific times just like as soon as we wake up or right before we go to bed. These need to be abolished by reading a book before bedtime or by just simply getting yourself ready after waking up, with time to spare, so you don't have to run around in the morning.

Forget The Digital Substitutes

For example, as of today, we have digital books, agendas, alarm clocks and so on and these are only superfluous items to achieve things that we could perfectly achieve without technology.
Even though these might be useful try not to depend on them all of the time. Switching it up will help with this dependency without getting rid of the convenience factor.

Say No To Social Media Pressure

Nowadays we feel the insisting need to instantly share every memory or bit of information about our lives online or to post regularly to keep up with it.
On the contrary, try to enjoy things and moments as they present to you at the moment without feeling the need to show it off to everyone on social media.

Try No Phone Days

As many of us I understand that not depending on our phones or devices, in general, can be really unrealistic for most of us for one reason or another but try to have days where you leave your phone at home or tucked away in a drawer to just enjoy a technology-free day or moment from time to time.

Just as all of you reading this post I have been through phone addiction at a stage in my life and truly am very dependent on it for my day to day life but tiny little changes will harm no one and it will improve the way you see your life and how you choose to enjoy it. If you try any of these tips make sure to leave a comment letting me know how you liked it.
